Privacy notice

Development draft. A reviewed privacy policy and retention schedule are required before public launch.

Public artist information

Approved artist names, profile addresses, cities, photos, and biographies and configured Venmo or PayPal links are public. Published song titles and recordings are public. Draft profiles and unpublished recordings are private.

Private account information

We store artist account email, legal name, phone number, plan and account status, and the version and time of terms acceptance. These details are available to the artist and authorized curators. They do not appear on public profiles.

Authentication and storage

Supabase provides artist and curator authentication, database services, and object storage. Authentication uses cookies to maintain your signed-in session. Uploaded profile images and published audio are served with temporary links. Cloudflare hosts the application and processes uploaded profile photos to resize them and remove embedded metadata before storage.

Listeners

Browsing and listening require no listener account. Your browser stores a random listener identifier and your last playback position. We record the songs played and time actually listened to, including whether a play reaches 30 seconds, to measure listening without collecting your name or email. Listening records and the identifier are not shown publicly or to artists. Artists can see aggregate listening and tip-click totals for their own music, without individual listener identifiers. Clearing browser storage resets your identifier and saved playback.

Direct artist support

Tip links open the artist’s chosen Venmo or PayPal page. That provider handles the transaction under its own terms and privacy practices. We record the artist, current song when available, provider and time when a tip link is clicked. We do not collect payment credentials, payment amounts, or confirmation that money was sent. These click records are private.

Questions or corrections

During the private pilot, contact the curator who invited you for account corrections or removal. A public privacy contact and data retention process must be established before launch.
